In my day of no Internet, we visited The Irish National Stud farms and Kilkenny Castle. Horse fans would love to see these horses, one of which breeds 4 times daily, in season, and charges up to 100,000€ per foal, payable on delivery. He was worth over 60 million Euros. Nice work for a stallion who had his teeth embedded in the fence while we were there! Another feature if this wonderful property was to see the fabulous duo’s of mother and foal out in pasture. Well worth a visit. Just as worthy was Kilkenny Castle, which under went 3 million in renovations and is fabulous. The town was worth a few hours as well and was hosting an art festival while we were there. The farmhouse was a very nice way to end our day!
